Jill, of the Sitka Ocean Wave Quilt Guild, is showing the background fabric that will be used to make the Sesquicentennial Commemoration Quilt

Rendering of the Quilt Design

The Sitka Ocean Wave Quilt Guild is making a quilt to commemorate the Sesquicentennial (150th) Anniversary of the Alaska Treaty of Cession. Appropriately named, “Oh My Stars!” the quilt will feature 150 gold stars. Proceeds from the sale of the quilt will benefit the new Sitka History Museum.

Blue background fabric will be cut and distributed to guild members to use when they make the quilt blocks.  The blocks will be gold/yellow stars in three sizes: 12 inch, 8 inch and 4 inch.  The quilt will measure 86 x 93 inches, which is queen size.
