The Sitka History Museum is an award winning institution! The Sitka History Museum has been recognized as a leader in the collection, preservation, and interpretation of state and local history by the American Association of State and Local History. The Museum also improves its offerings to the community of Sitka every year with programs, publications, and collections management, funded in-part through grants awarded by organizations who generously support the mission of the Sitka History Museum.
